Safarikonekti operates the safari discovery and booking platform at safarikonekti.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through the Platform. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Safarikonekti.

We collect the following categories of personal data: • Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), profile information. • Usage data: pages visited, search queries, safari views, booking actions, device type, browser, IP address. • Booking data: traveller details provided during quote or booking flows (group size, travel dates, preferences). • Operator data: business registration details, tax IDs, bank account information (for payouts), and uploaded documents during KYB verification. • Communications: messages exchanged via the platform, AI Concierge chat history, and support tickets.

We use your personal data to: • Operate and personalise the Platform, including AI-powered search and concierge features. • Process bookings, quotes, and payments. • Verify operator identities and business credentials. • Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, quote notifications, security alerts). • Send marketing communications where you have opted in. • Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats. • Comply with legal obligations.

Safarikonekti uses AI models to generate search results, safari recommendations, and concierge responses. Your search queries and preferences may be used to improve our AI systems in anonymised and aggregated form. We do not use identifiable personal data to train external AI models. AI Concierge conversations are stored to provide continuity within a session and for quality improvement, and are subject to the same retention limits as other platform data.

We share data only as follows: • With operators: when you request a quote or make a booking, relevant details (name, email, group size, travel dates) are shared with the operator to fulfil your request. • With payment processors: Stripe and/or Flutterwave receive payment details necessary to process transactions. • With service providers: hosting (Supabase/Vercel), analytics, and email delivery partners, all operating under data processing agreements. • With authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Platform is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will affect Platform functionality.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for 3 years after account deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Booking and payment records are retained for 7 years for financial compliance purposes. AI conversation logs are retained for 12 months.
